Rou Gui is a highly prized Oolong rock (yancha) tea from Wuyishan, Fujian province, China. It’s named after its spicy cinnamon notes, enriched with beautiful mesmerising floral notes, and a sweet long lasting finish. It is enriched by an intense roasted aroma that fills the palate at each sip. This Zhèngyán version is grown at the very heart of Wuyishan park. No other rock tea can match the warm complexity of Rou Gui. It is typical of its terroir, enriched with a landscape consisting of steep mineral rich rock cliffs, surprising peaks, twisting streams and rivers, deep valleys, and odd caves. The natural erosion of this terroir allows the minerals to be absorbed by the red soil from the wind and rain, resulting in a beautiful mineral rich tea, full of complexity at each infusion.
